Last week, we went to Bandung with my sister & her family, along with my parents. It was short but quite fun. All we did was shop shop shop!
Michael was not so keen on Bandung in the beginning because of his 'got to have beach' policy for a holiday. But he went along with it anyways because he's never been there & we wanted go with my family. So he was happy to let me shop. He was all 'you shop lah, I'm ok, I don't need anything'. 'They're asian sizes anyways, there's nothing for me' bla bla.
So, shop we did..like crazy.
Well..actually. He did..like crazy. Apparently there was a lot of Michael sizes and he ended up with a lot more shopping bags than myself & the kids :p I was not so crazy lah. I am pretty hopeless when it comes to shopping for myself. I take too much time will little success & I am also easily distracted with kids' stuff.
We did our shopping at Pasar Baru, Rumah Mode & some of the many factory outlet shops around Bandung. There's just so many of them and the next shop that we stopped at was always better than the one before. Thank God I have my kids to slow me down. No wonder my aunties & girlfriends do a lot of girly girls getaway trip to Bandung! It's so cheap!
We did go to Trans Studio one day for the kids. It was pretty good. Ayisha had lots of fun with her cousins. The only bad thing is that they charge everybody & I mean everybody, including Eli, the same rate for entrance. That's a little bit much I think. So if you have little kids that won't be able to go on any rides, leave the big kids with your hubby there & go your separate ways to shop some more. ;)

The one thing that we all agree was extremely enjoyable, was one of the shows that they had there called 'Kabayan Goes to Hollywood.' That was just very well done - great acting, lovely singing, lots of fun & funny bits in it, suitable for all ages. What with the Bret Fit & Britnih Sers. Hilarious!
So after Bandung we're back in JB and now we're busy packing again, to go back to Sydney for Christmas. Excited to be going back & see everyone and all but not really looking forward to the long flight & the whole packing/unpacking ritual, especially when we're just about to get very comfortable settling in here.
I'm getting old...*sigh*
Eli is growing so much & a pretty happy boy. He's laughing & smiling all the time, blowing bubbles, making a lot of noise, moving & circling around, keeps pushing himself forward and sometimes really trying to stand up when I hold him.
He is now holding his hands out to me when I approach him (love, love, love!) and he totally freaks out when myself, Michael or Ayisha leaves the room. He's also biting everything that he can grab holds of, including Ayisha's feet & my cheeks.
Ayisha - growing every single day too. Makes me laugh with the silly funny things that came out of her mouth and impressing me with the little things that she remembers. I could really count on her to remind me of things like grocery shopping and to-do lists. But it also means that I have to keep my promises.
Oh, I've also Air Supply'ed her. The other day I heard her singing 'Here I am, the one that you love, asking for another day..' instead of The Little Mermaid song during her bath. We all know what this means right? Karaoke bonding time with mummy soon, Squeaky! :p
