Staying In

We actually have guests arriving from Sydney last weekend. We took them to Ubud on Sunday for the Monkey Forest (again!! someone's super happy :p, I stayed outside) and then to our favorite Sari Organic restaurant. They absolutely loved it. They're now in Gili for the week and will be back with us this weekend.

In the meantime, on weekdays, it's back to just Ayisha & me and we've been spending a lot of time indoors. See, with me being all pregnant and sick, I couldn't stand walking around for too long, even by myself as I get quite faint and nauseous. I didn't want to risk passing out having Ayisha in tow so we don't go out much anymore, just the two of us.

Playing in the garden & having a swim are also pretty rare because of the same reason. Poor Ha :( Luckily she goes to playgroup 3 times a week. I used to be doing errands while she's at school but I couldn't even do much of those anymore and Michael sometimes helps send & pick her up so I can have a extra rest at home.

So I've been trying to keep her entertained indoors without resorting to too much Barney, Dora & Babytv.

So apart from looking after me, ie. accompanying me to the toilet bowl, patting my back & serving me drinks after, here's what she's been up to:

1. Keeping me entertained - singing, dancing, twirling, playing her musical instruments, after which she'd take a bow asking me to clap for her excellent performance. I don't know where she learnt this bowing thing. But she does it with much gusto - head fiercely down, eyes closing in satisfaction and hand on the chest politely. So cute lah...hehehehe

2. Play-doh time. She's been playing a lot with this lately and it's something that we both can enjoy together for long periods of time. Tho sometimes we do fight over the Play-doh knife and which shape to do next :p

3. Big sister training - she plays & talks to her dollies, teddies and Pooh more and more. Wrapping, feeding, bathing and putting them to sleep. The training also includes her talking, singing, peek-a-boo'ing and tickling my tummy. She calls my tummy her 'little sister'.

4. Because I can get bit boring sometimes, she'd ask to talk to Michael at work everyday. So there'd be a phone session (sometimes 3-4 a day) of her & Michael chatting away like smitten lovers.

My friends would come over to see how I'm doing and they'd bring their kids, so Ayisha would get some outdoor fun times then.

2 heads are cuter than 1!

Lately, she has a new look. If she remembers she'll put it on when we leave the house.
