Spiky hair, one vertical + one horizontal ears, kinda round eyes, straight nose combined to the straight mouth - not bad. Not bad at all. :p
Squeaky's about 2 years 3 months now. I haven't written much about her progress in details lately. So here goes:
- She can call out her friends' name clearly. Altho the first one that she picked up was 'James' and the second was her good friend's 'Teagan'. I hope it's because of the fact that the latter is a 2 syllable word and not because of the fact that James is a BOY. But she did smile extra widely whenever she said James' name. Ergh. I'm beginning to agree with Michael - No boys till at least 30!

| with Teagan, going to a birthday party (kecik2 dah ada geng par-tay!) |
- She can't call her friends' mum's name yet but she knows which mum belongs to who. One time she heard me taking to Sri (Teagan's mum) on the phone and after hanging up, she asked me "Teagan mummy?" (busybody, I know)
- Apparently she uses purple everytime in class at school too. I can spot hers miles away from all the others.
- She fakes her laugh sometimes. When Michael makes silly jokes or when Michael and I are laughing about something, she'd join in and pretend to laugh her heart out - heads bopping up and down, hands covering or slapping mouth, tummy, legs and everything. Over tul.
- She's wearing slippers now. She walks funny at first but after a while she's putting them on by herself and walking comfortably.
- She's learning numbers well, thanks to the numbers mat & magnetic numbers she got for her birthday that she constantly play with. And of course to Baby TV's Charlie & the Numbers party, which by the way has the coolest numbers song in the planet, even Michael knows the whole song!! :p She can sing 1-10 and recognize the numbers too. But if I ask her to count more than 5 things, she'd go '1, 2, 3, 4, 5', then jump to '8, 9, 10'. :p She can also only show numbers on her fingers up to five (1, 2, 3, 4...Hi-5!). She can do 7, just because at school they sing 7 days a week with 5 and 2 fingers shaking about. But she still hasn't grasp the others.
- She's also pretty good with colors, shapes and puzzles. Purple remains her favorite color. The funniest pronunciation of color is "ell-owh", sometimes with squinting eyes with the "owh". Know what it is? YELLOW lah!!! :p
- She can CATCH a ball! yipppee! (cause I can't!)
- She's singing full songs of everything & anything. She also makes up her own lyrics ie. "Where is Ha's bag?" (Where is Thumbkin) when looking for her bag and she teaches me new songs from school or even 'correcting' me, since I stopped staying with her at school. I do miss it a lil bit sometimes hehehe. Makes me want to hang around just so I'll know the right lyrics to her new songs! :p
- She's observing & imitating more & more of what we do. Michael sometimes weigh himself at night before sleep. He'd step on the weighing scale and pointed a torchlight to the scale because we only have the dim light on. One morning, Ayisha stepped on the weighing scale, ops herself, stepped down again, looked in daddy's drawer, took out the torchlight, stepped on scale again and pointed the torchlight down, just like daddy. I was laughing & rolling around it was too funny.
- I love how we can have almost full-on conversations with her now. Sometimes serious, sometimes funny. The other day, it smelled like she's done a pooey nappy so I asked:
Me: Ha poo poo eh?
Ha: Nawwwwwwwwww
Me: Busuuuk (smelly) ah, poo poo eh?
Ha: Nooooooooo!!! Ha push*.
Me: Come mummy have a look.
Ha: Noooo noooo, Ha push mummy! (getting a bit angry)
Me: Tengok jap! (quickly grabbing and having a look)
Ha: No poo poo. Entoooooot je!!! (puuuuuuush only!!!)
Verdict? No poo poo, she was right. :p
*push = fart, in the Laidler dictionary
