Things That Make You Go 'Aahh'

1. Waking up for Sahur and seeing my dad in his sarong up to his middle, heating up food for us all.

Yes good people! We're back in Jay Bee.:) Left Bali yesterday arvo for a 2 1/2 hour flight to Singapore and it took us about the same time to cross the causeway to get home. Crazy Friday night + people shopping & going back for Eid traffic. Ayisha went from 'see Cik Mah, see Cik Mah' to 'twinkle twinkle, mummy sing, twinkle twinkle' to 'zzzzzz' in the car.

2. Anticipating the arrivals of my siblings & their family.

This year, all of my brothers and sisters will be coming home for Eid. It will be a blast! I am so looking forward to just hanging out with them and catch up on things. I also can't wait to see Ayisha being all 'grown up' hanging out with her cousins.

Hang on, except for my sister, Wa who'll be spending Eid in Sunshine Coast. Why do I keep forgetting this? Must be because for the longest time, I've always spent my Eid with my 2 youngest sisters. They were always around, they're the babies! So I keep forgetting how grown up she is now, have her own family to be with and that there will be times where Eid will be without her. It's also her birthday today, so altogether now "Happy Birthday Wa"!!!!! I truly wish nothing but the best for you and may all your wonderful hopes & dreams come true! We love you and we miss having you around. It will NOT be the same without you, remember that. Ok, this should be 'Things that make me go 'UWWWWWWWWAAA''.

3) Having a Celebrity making an appearance on my blog.

Of course lah I have to say something about this. :) Wonderfully surprised, amazingly shocked, a lil bit embarrassed and butterflies-in-my-tummy giddy! Surprised because I truly didn't see it coming. Yes, we know each other's passwords and I know he was helping me with the video but it was supposed to be in DRAFT so I could share the wonderful lyrics to Ha's 'Shake, shake, shake' song! :p (how cute is she doing 'shake to the right' TWICE? All also cute lah!)

Shocked because just a day prior, I've just read one of my favorite blogs, where her husband did a very lovely post for her. I was touched by it because I've only just recently followed her blog and I didn't even know her in person but am just amazed by the kind of person she is with all the things that she's done. The thing is, I haven't got a chance to share this with Michael yet (yeah, he layan my blogworld stories). I didn't even 'mental fax' this to him so it was freaking me out a bit. (I'll share more about 'mental fax' one fine day but it's basically sending messages using your mind and imagining the recipient receiving it. Crazy I know, but it works!)

Embarrassed because we're not that big on showing the mushy love stuff part in public and also because I really didn't feel that I deserve such heartfelt appreciation. What, didn't you read my 4-Ingredients cooking? Lazy, lazy me!

And giddy because it reminded me of all the endless emails, letters & cards that were sent during our 4-yr long distance relationship. We don't do cards so much now because Bali doesn't have Memory Lane or Hallmark card shops (excuses!)

So enough gushing! Most importantly.....

I really want to take this opportunity to wish all my wonderful, supportive, amazing, lovely friends, family, fellow bloggers and readers a very Happy Eid Fitr, Salam Lebaran, Selamat Hari Raya and from the bottom of my heart, Maaf Zahir & Batin.
