Wait Ah

Im still working on my Paris entry. By working I mean started 1 paragraph few weeks ago and never went back :p

The internet sucked then blogpsot wasn't working too plus other excuses that you could think of, just throw them in here. Im still so very excited to tell all about the trip but there's so much other stuff going on as well so Im thinking I should update what's been going on while keeping that in the background.

Will tell all about Paris later k

So things are slowly getting back to normal. There's gonna be no trips nor visitors till end of June - when my inlaws will be here just in time for Ayisha's 2nd birthday (2 already???)

I had a wonderful Mother's Day celebration - 1 week delayed because I was already pampered with Paris & my birthday & we have visitors bla bla. So i was beyond happy that i still get a celebration after all the many other stuff that's been happening. There's breakfast in bed and a whole day of shopping all by myself & ended with a lovely 3 course dinner at home. I dunno how Michael managed to take care of Ayisha the whole day and still came up with all that. I was very impressed at how well behaved Ayisha was and how excellent Michael was with juggling it all. So Im thinking this could be a monthly if not weekly thing? hehehehehehhehe

Few days after that, I even had a girls' night out. It was my first time ever in Bali going out with the girls at night and without Ayisha. Normally it's brunch dates while kids are at school or play dates or celebrating the kid's birthdays or gatherings on weekends - u know, mummy stuff involving our kids. But this time, we were celebrating one of the girl's birthday and she wanted to treat herself to a night of her favorite live band. It was also a fantastic excuse for us all to put on some make up, get dressed & take out our dusty heels, for a relaxing girly girls night out.  So all 11 of us mothers left our kids at home (thanks to our lovely husbands) & went out for a lovely dinner at a cosy restaurant in Seminyak while being entertained by Tude & Friends who wonderfully & obligingly catered to most of our song requests. The birthday girl, who's a singer herself, also treated us all with some tunes and she's AMAZING! I really had a fantastic time :))

The next morning, everyone's back on mummy duties & taking the kids to school as usual :p Talking about school, Ayisha is now at school without me. After Paris, I stayed with her once, then left her and that was it. She's still crying when I left her, but as soon as I was out of sight she's fine. I even stayed a while to see how she's doing and she was fine. I'd come few minutes early before pick up time and would see her happily playing with other kids & her teachers. But after Sayonara song - she'd started crying especially when she sees me. But the teacher says she's fine. So I think she's ok lah. The only thing is, when Michael gets home & asks her about school, she'd tell him how I left her and made a sad face - "Yeh Ha kids, mum bye' (Yes, Ayisha played with the kids, mum says bye) and her sad-almost-crying face would follow.

So Ha is growing up & ready for work. She's been doing stuff like rinsing her mouth & spitting out the water when brushing her teeth for a while now so Ive started giving toothpaste. Her teeth are fine. I stopped worrying about them and let Ayisha have some ice cream and chocolates every now and then.

She calls me Mum now. She never really calls me mummy or mama before, just whatever she wants but for the past few weeks she's been calling me Mum. She says please - only when she really really wants something. She knows she has to say it so sometimes she just turns & hides her face away when we ask her to.

She's humming & singing some songs now. Like Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Lil Star and ABC song. And of course 'Baby, baby, baby oooooh' (Biebster anyone?)

She managed to put on her shoes all by herself the day before we left for Paris so that was such a proud moment for me. Now it's to remember to warn her to put her shoes on 5 mins before we go out the door if we don't wanna be late :p

The tantrums are getting louder and wilder too. Does the terrible twos start before they turned 2 or what? If they come early with they leave before the 2nd birthday? Thank you very much. Sometimes she just screams for no reason. I try to ignore it but most times we'd laugh and Michael would provoke her with 'Is that the best you can do, Squeaky?' She normally stares angrily right back at him but who knows if she understood any of it.

Other than that, things have been pretty good. I miss macaroons tho :p
